A 15th-century treatise on kidney affections and their treatment? A first approach.
Journal of Nephrology 2011 May

In the present article, I study the content of this work and suggest that it may describe the effect of gout on the kidneys, unless it describes pseudogout, that is, chondrocalsinosis of kidneys. On this basis, I suggest that the treatise is not by Galen, but by the 15th-century Byzantine physician Dêmêtrios Pepagômenos.
