Arrhythmia-induced cardiomyopathy (AIC) is a potentially reversible condition in which left ventricular dysfunction is induced or mediated by atrial or ventricular arrhythmias. Cellular and extracellular changes in response to the culprit arrhythmia have been identified, but specific pathophysiological mechanisms remain unclear.
