We read with interest the Letter to the Editor1 that was provided to us in response to our Commentary on the workforce shortage.2 We thank Dr. Hoffman, who suggested that we provide concrete steps toward decreasing the workforce shortage and emphasized the importance of child and adolescent psychiatrists (CAPs) providing psychotherapy. The Letter to the Editor prompted us to re-emphasize some key topics that we mentioned previously and to discuss several new points.
