Laparoscopic treatment of ileocecal herniation through the foramen of Winslow - A video vignette.

Colorectal Disease 2018 November 2
The foramen of Winslow is the passage between the main abdominal cavity and the lesser sac, a site of herniation for the abdominal content. Hernia through the foramen of Winslow is an unusual condition, representing 8% of all internal hernias (1). A growing number of cases treated by a laparoscopic approach is described in the literature, although there are no guidelines for treatment of viable herniated content or for foramen closure (2).
