Letter to the Editor concerning "Serological and clinical evaluation of the Yugoslavian RM65 sheep pox strain vaccine use in cattle against lumpy skin disease" by Abutarbush and Tuppurainen (Transbound Emerg Dis; 2018: DOI: 10.1111/tbed.12923).
Transboundary and Emerging Diseases 2018 October 14
An original article (Abutarbush and Tuppurainen 2018) has recently been published online in Transboundary and Emerging Diseases. At the introduction section of this paper the authors attempted to present the current knowledge about the prevalence of adverse reactions after vaccination against Lumpy skin Disease (LSD) with the Neethling strain of the virus (LSDV). The commenting of the selected references (EFSA report 2017; Agianniotaki et al. 2017; Katsoulos et al. 2018) suggests that the prevalence of adverse reactions referred in the Greek study (Katsoulos et al. 2018) was overestimated.
