Fatal Avian Influenza A/H5N1 Infection in a 36-Week Pregnant Woman Survived by her Newborn - Soc Trang, Vietnam, 2012.

Outbreaks of H5N1 Avian Influenza (AI) emerged in Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam during 2003- 2005. Its severe impact has been reported; the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Bank (WB) estimated that Viet Nam lost up to 1.8% of GDP (1).
