Recent biomedical applications on stem cell therapy: A brief overview.

The unique self-renewal and differentiation ability of stem cells drag the attention of many scientists and researchers towards the clinical application of stem cells. Stem cells are basically the normal living cells of multicellular organisms with some special ability to proliferate and transform into any kind of the body cells with their characteristic feature. Talking about human stem cells, it is originated from various sources like embryonic stem cells, somatic stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells, bone marrow stem cells, neural stem cells etc. which differs in their differentiation potency. On the basis of their potency they can be applied in treatment or regeneration of different cells. Stem cell therapy having very wide range application in treatment of various diseases. In this review article we have summarized the application of stem cell as regenerative medicine and treatment of chronic disorders.
