Course Review: International Dermoscopy Course for Plastic Surgeons.

Dermoscopy is a physical examination technique that combines the use of illumination and magnification, provided by a handheld device, to scrutinize skin lesions. Its use increases the diagnostic accuracy for the trained operator, providing more information for making better decisions for the management of skin cancer. The "International Dermoscopy Course for Plastic Surgeons" aims to train plastic surgery trainees and consultants in the use of this technique. This 1-day, lecture-based course is held 4 times a year in the city of Oxford, United Kingdom, at a cost of £250 (US $340). This article intends to provide a review of this course.
