[Reception of the patient in psychiatry: overcoming the narcissistic test of the caregiver].

The theme of the encounter is addressed through the question of the reception of the patient. This encounter forces the caregiver to consider his or her own identity faced with the patient, to adjustments which can elude narcissistic doubts by resorting to the standardisation of care. Possible ways for the construction of a joint project are then considered. A 'common illusion' of care, which ensures that the encounter, a prelude to the possibility of care, is achieved.
