[Calculations of Intraocular Lenses Implant Intended to Minimise Postoperative Vertical Anisometropia].

Modern measuring instruments calculate the values of intraocular lenses implant preoperatively. This calculation is performed separately for each eye. No information is available on the postoperative binocular effect, especially in regard to vertical anisometropia (difference between the values of the vertical principial meridians of the right and the left spectacle lens). In this publication, a computer programme is introduced to calculate the values of intraocular lenses implant for both eyes together. With this program, vertical anisometropia is only 0.5 D.
