REVIEW OBJECTIVE/QUESTION: The objectives of this review are to explore existing literature on discharge criteria, tools and strategies utilized in pediatric post-anesthesia care units (PACUs) after outpatient surgery, examine and conceptually map the evidence, and identify gaps in the literature.Specifically, the review question is: what criteria, tools and strategies are being used in pediatric PACUs for discharge?
