[Endoscopic ultrasonography: a new method for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of portal hypertension].

Through a comprehensive scan of collateral circulation establishment in portal hypertension, endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) can predict the risks of esophageal and gastric varices, variceal bleeding, recurrence after treatment, and rebleeding and guide and participate in the treatment of varices. With the help of these advantages, EUS provides an important reference for individualized treatment in patients with liver cirrhosis complicated by portal hypertension and can improve response rate and safety.
