[Healthcare associated infections: patient mobility in Italy and costs for Italian healthcare organizations].

Healthcare-associated infections (HCI) are an obstacle to assuring safe hospital treatments. This study evaluates awareness of HCIs among the Italian population, readiness to file a complaint against the hospital in the event of an HCI, and the distance patients would be willing to travel to be treated in hospitals with lower HCI rates. Furthermore, the report highlights the importance of this issue in the context of hospital management.
