In this issue, we highlight work from Thorner and colleagues that uncovers how the TORC2 pathway kinase Fpk1 modulates endocytosis, a paper by Rane and colleagues showing that β-cell dysfunction and loss of β-cell mass in diabetes are molecularly linked via a Cdk2-dependent mechanism and a quantitative proteomics study by Norman, Zanivan and colleagues that identifies the key proteins involved in Rab17-mediated anti-invasive effects.
