New genera of Australian stiletto flies (Diptera, Therevidae).

ZooKeys 2016
Two new stiletto fly genera of Agapophytinae (Diptera: Therevidae) are described from Australia. Sidarenagen. n. comprises six new species (Sidarena aurantiasp. n., Sidarena flavipalpasp. n., Sidarena geraldtonsp. n., Sidarena hortorumsp. n., Sidarena macfarlandisp. n., and Sidarena yallingupsp. n.) and is largely endemic to Western Australia. Zelothrix gen. n. is described based on two species; Zelothrix warrumbunglessp. n. is a locally abundant species in Eastern Australia, while Zelothrix yeatesisp. n. is restricted to southwestern Western Australia. These sister genera are likely closely related to Taenogerella Winterton & Irwin and Actenomeros Winterton & Irwin.
