Janet Morrison writing in Nursing Older People says that care home managers should challenge the belief that expectations in later life are low and instead engage older people in creative programmes. The author, CEO at the Baring Foundation, says that story-telling, comedy, and art can enhance self-esteem, confidence and mental wellbeing for older people in the community and in care homes.
