Immune checkpoint blockade therapy represented by programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor for advanced renal carcinoma with an objective response rate (ORR) in patients is less than 20%. It is attributed to abundant tumoral vasculature with abnormal structure limiting effector T cell infiltration and drug penetration. We propose a bispecific fibrous glue (BFG) to regulate tumor immune and vascular microenvironments simultaneously. The bispecific precursor glue peptide-1 (pre-GP1) can penetrate tumor tissue deeply and self-assemble into BFG in the presence of neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) and PD-L1...

The management of peripheral lung nodules is challenging, requiring specialized skills and sophisticated technologies. The diagnosis now appears accessible to advanced endoscopy (see Part 1), which can also guide treatment of these nodules; this second part provides an overview of endoscopy techniques that can enhance surgical treatment through preoperative marking, and stereotactic radiotherapy treatment through fiduciary marker placement. Finally, we will discuss how, in the near future, these advanced endoscopic techniques will help to implement ablation strategy...

Leprosy is caused by Mycobacterium leprae . The condition primarily affects the skin and peripheral nerves. There are two types of leprosy reactions, Type 1 and Type 2 or erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL). ENL is a severe multi-system, immune-mediated complication of lepromatous leprosy. It is characterised by widespread painful cutaneous nodules, fever and peripheral oedema. This report discusses the unusual case of a 29-year-old woman who developed a localised form of ENL which required thalidomide to induce remission...

Introduction Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin problems encountered in the dermatology department. It is a chronic, inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit, clinically presenting with comedones, papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts. With its particularly high prevalence in the younger population, it has significant adverse sequelae on patient's quality of life. At present, due to an enhanced understanding of the pathogenesis of acne, various therapeutic modalities are available. The current management strategies generally follow a systematic treatment escalation based on disease severity and treatment response...
