The evidence on the attitude of 60 cancer out-patients to fibrocolonoscopy carried out under general anesthesia was evaluated versus different procedures of intravenous injection. The efficiencies of modern intravenous anesthetics, analgesics, and hypnotics (dormicum, diprivan, ketamine, and fentanyl) in various combinations for artificial abortions was evaluated. Hemodynamic parameters, autonomic status, and clinical signs of awakening were evaluated. The most effective protection was attained with a combination of diprivan, dormicum, and fentanyl.

Various methods of total anesthesia for colonoscopy in cancer patients, carried out in a outpatient setting, are compared. Diprivane and dormicum were used as monoanesthesia and in combinations with ketamine and fentanyl. Diprivane anesthesia was the optimal as regards the velocity of recovery of psychophysiological functions. Ketamine was acknowledged inefficient because of long awakening and psychotic effects.

In this paper the evaluation of midazolam (Dormicum) efficiency in obtaining basic sedative effect in 36 children during diagnostic examinations and short surgical operations was done. In 26 patients good sedative effect was obtained. Forgetfulness was present in 17 from 25 patients above 2 years of life, and partial in the rest 8 patients. Fear reactions were observed in 10 children with lower doses of this medicine.
