A massive statistical analysis based on the autocorrelation function of the circular code X observed in genes is performed on the (eukaryotic) introns. Surprisingly, a circular code periodicity 0 modulo 3 is identified in 5 groups of introns: birds, ascomycetes, basidiomycetes, green algae and land plants. This circular code periodicity, which is a property of retrieving the reading frame in (protein coding) genes, may suggest that these introns have a coding property. The naturally occurring bile acid lithocholic acid (LCA) has been a crucial core structure for many non-sugar-containing sialyltranferase (ST) inhibitors documented in literature. With the aim of elucidating the impact of the terminal carboxyl acid substituent of LCA on its ST inhibition, in this present study, we report the (bio)isosteric replacement-based design and synthesis of sulfonate and sulfate analogues of LCA. In a sheared steady state, glasses reach a nonequilibrium criticality called yielding criticality. A precision measurement of the β^{+} decay of ^{8}B was performed using the Beta-decay Paul Trap to determine the β-ν angular correlation coefficient a_{βν}. The experimental results were combined with new ab initio symmetry-adapted no-core shell-model calculations to yield the second-most precise measurement from Gamow-Teller decays, a_{βν}=-0.3345±0.0019_{stat}±0.0021_{syst}. Recent experiments on kagome metals AV_{3}Sb_{5} (A=Cs,Rb,K) indicated spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking in the charge density wave state in the absence of static magnetization. The loop current order (LCO) is proposed as its cause, but a microscopic model explaining the emergence of LCO through electronic correlations has not been firmly established. We show that the coupling between van Hove singularities with distinct mirror symmetries is a key ingredient to generate LCO ground state. By constructing an effective model, we find that when multiple van Hove singularities with opposite mirror eigenvalues are close in energy, the nearest-neighbor electron repulsion favors a ground state with coexisting LCO and charge bond order...

We report on a new class of Ising machines (IMs) that rely on coupled parametric frequency dividers (PFDs) as macroscopic artificial spins. Here, we developed a hybrid module with an injectable hydrogel and hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanobelts for the controlled delivery of NK cells to enhance the therapy of solid tumors. The carrier losses due to radiative recombination in monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides are studied using fully microscopic many-body models. The density- and temperature-dependent losses in various Mo- and W-based materials are shown to be dominated by Coulomb correlations beyond the Hartree-Fock level. Despite the much stronger Coulomb interaction in 2D materials, the radiative losses are comparable-if not weaker-than in conventional III-V materials.
