The transcriptional factor SALL4, an important stem cell regulator, is expressed in hematopoietic stem cells and various malignancies, but its role in EGFR-mutated NSCLCs has not been studied yet. Here, we report that the expression of Sal-like protein 4 (SALL4), was significantly higher in EGFR mutated lung tumors than in non-tumor tissue. SALL4-high lung cancer patients had poorer prognosis after surgery than SALL4-low patients. A 44 year old male presented with spontaneous massive hemothorax. Computed tomography (CT) scan revealed thickened and nodular pleura with no evidence of lung tumour. Patient underwent right open total pleurectomy. Histopathology and Immunohistochemistry studies of the pleura confirmed poorly differentiated sarcomatoid squamous cell carcinoma of lung with metastasis to pleura. Despite being rarely reported, improved diagnostic and prognostic indicators are necessary for treating malignant melanoma in rabbits. In this study, two cases of primary skin lesions, on the scrotum and on eyelid, with systemic metastases, were examined.
