The conjugation of tRNA with folic acid-chitosan conjugates was studied, using multiple spectroscopic methods and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Thermodynamic analysis ΔH -14 to -10 (KJ. Mol(-1)) and ΔS 14 to -1 (J. Mol(-1), K(-1)) showed tRNA-folic acid-chitosan bindings occur via H-bonding, hydrophobic and van der Waals contacts. There is an increasing concern over male reproductive toxicity caused by lead exposure. Folic acid (FA) is supposed to be a promising therapeutic strategy against lead toxicity. Therefore, the aim of this experimental study was to shed light on the potential protective role of FA on lead-induced testicular dysfunction in rats and its possible underlying mechanistic pathways.
