The long non-coding RNA HOX transcript antisense RNA (HOTAIR) plays a key role in the progression of various carcinomas. However, whether or not HOTAIR influences glucose metabolism and the specific underlying mechanism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells remain unclear.
