The usual neoplastic dissease involving suprarenal glands are adrenal metastaes. The majority of suprarenal metastatic disease arise from lung cancer, followed by the stomach and colon cancer, oesophagus, the liver/bile ducts cancer and renal cell carcinoma. Invasive mammary carcinoma usually spreads to the bones, lungs, lymph nodes, liver and the brain. Adrenal gland metastases from invasive no special type carcinoma represents an extremly low rate number of cases. We discuss about a 66 year old patient who presented with a solitary adrenal metastases from triple negative breast invasive carcinoma...

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Hepatitis B core antigen is known to be a major target for virus-specific T cells and also reflects the progression of liver dissease and viral replication. Hepatitis B core antigen expression in hepatocytes leads to altered histological activity, viral replication, and immune response. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the topographical distribution of hepatitis B core antigen expression can predict the viral response to entecavir in patients with chronic hepatitis B...

Fifteen women with pseudo-LE syndrome were studied. The dissease is characterized by recurrent attacks of fever, myalgia, arthralgia, visceral manifestations (pericarditis, myocarditis, pleurisy, pleural effusion and lung involvement). A prominent feature was an abnormal liver function with elevated GOT and GPT levels in serum, and impaired bromsuophalein elimination. The incidence of varicosities and thrombophlebitis was markedly increased. There was a correlation between complement-fixing antimitochondrial antibody (AMA) titres and the degree of activity of the disease...
