A flow injection-column preconcentration-hydride generation atomic absorption spectrophotometric (FI-column-HGAAS) method was developed for determining mug/l levels of As(III) and As(V) in water samples, with simultaneous preconcentration and speciation. The speciation scheme involved determining As(V) at neutral pH and As(III+V) at pH 12, with As(III) obtained by difference. The enrichment factor (EF) increased with increase in sample loading volume from 2.5 to 10ml, and for preconcentration using the chloride-form anion exchange column, EFs ranged from 5 to 48 for As(V) and 4 to 24 for As(III+V), with corresponding detection limits of 0...

The term "mobbing" has today erroneously come to be a huge general recepticle for all the conflicts and interpersonal problems breaking out in the work environment. The author, who collaborates as clinical psychologist in an anti-mobbing network, shows that frequently events at work and personality structures are closely connected. Individual and group discussions with divers and instructors were used to discover the psychodynamic bases of the diver's psychology. The clearly narcisistic compensation mechanisms, based essentially on so-called "cross-identification" appear to explain the apparently contradictory personality traits revealed by both psychodiagnostic techniques and phenomenological analysis. The recognition of cross identification as the basis of the narcisism-masochism collusion appears to be a useful addition to the field of accident prevention...
