Stress and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which act as nonselective inhibitors of cyclooxygenase, are the main factors of ulcerogenesis in digestive system. However, the peculiarities of their combined action upon the status of intestinal microflora and the parameters of NO-synthase system are still poorly understood. In experiments with rats we show that water-restrained stress was accompanied by a considerable increase of iNOS activity and intensity of lipoperoxidation processes. The increase of Escherichia coli content and the decrease in Enterococcus spp...

The dysbiosis of the human intestinal microbiota is linked to sporadic colorectal carcinoma (CRC). The present study was designed to investigate the gut microbiota distribution features in CRC patients. We performed pyrosequencing based analysis of the 16S rRNA gene V3 region to investigate microbiota of the cancerous tissue and adjacent non-cancerous normal tissue in proximal and distal CRC samples. The results revealed that the microbial structures of the CRC patients and healthy individuals differed significantly...

The use of culture-dependent and -independent techniques to study the human milk microbiota and microbiome has revealed a complex ecosystem with a much greater diversity than previously anticipated. The potential role of the milk microbiome appears to have implications not only for short- and long-term infant health but also for mammary health. In fact, mammary disbiosis, which may be triggered by a variety of host, microbial and medical factors, often leads to acute, subacute or subclinical mastitis, a condition that represents the first medical cause for undesired weaning...

The parts of pathogenesis gastrointestinal diseases form relationship with changes in oral cavity. High microbial density bacterial community, consisting of conditionally-pathogenic type and occupying oral mucosa and other parts to oral cavity permits the quick development of the different forms of the pathological processes in oral cavity. The Concept preventive and medical action, conducted in oral cavity of children with chronic gastrodyodenitis, includes: undertaking the diagnostics of the change of microbiocenosis, estimations of the factors of local homeostasis with determination degree of the changes of disbiosis, the individual planning and strictly realization pathogenesis motivated complex action on treatment and preventive maintenance, observation with recommended frequency, including all mentioned elements...

The possibility of examination of oral fluid bacteriocidal activity in complex diagnostics of oral mucosa disbiosis was evaluated. Thirty-seven patients were included in complex clinical and laboratory studies. The patients were divided in two groups: main group (30 patients exhibiting various grades of oral mucosa disbiosis) and control group (7 patients with no signs of oral disbiosis). The oral fluid bacteriocidal activity was examined by means of laser flow cytometry. Study results proved oral fluid bacteriocidal activity increase to correlate with the grade of oral mucosa disbiosis thus confirming the usefulness of the method in complex diagnostics of oral disbiosis...

BACKGROUND: Ruminal disbiosis induced by feeding is the cause of ruminal acidosis, a digestive disorder prevalent in high-producing ruminants. Because probiotic microorganisms can modulate the gastrointestinal microbiota, propionibacteria- and lactobacilli-based probiotics were tested for their effectiveness in preventing different forms of acidosis. RESULTS: Lactic acidosis, butyric and propionic subacute ruminal acidosis (SARA) were induced by feed chalenges in three groups of four wethers intraruminally dosed with wheat, corn or beet pulp...

Study of the colon was carried out in patients with cholelithiasis after cholecystectomy. Estimated clinical symptoms, the mucous membrane status by the results of the histological, morphometric methods, computed ploidometry and immunomorphology of colon biopsy specimens. Mucosal atrophy, the buildup of sclerotic processes and proliferative activity of colonocytes was significantly more frequent in patients with cholecystectomy in history, than in patients with cholelithiasis and the control group. Most of the examined patients have disorders of the colon microbiocenosis...

Acute viral and bacterial intestinal infections in children provoke the Tn2 immune response, resulting in development of severe and complicated forms of the disease and sustained by the disbiotic disturbances due to unnecessarily prolonged use of antibacterial drugs. Cycloferon, an early inductor of interferon-1 and -2, was shown to be safe and efficient in the complex therapy of the intestinal infections. It promoted generation of the Th2 immune response and decrease of the repeated isolation of the pathogen with normalization of the disease clinical signs...

The study group was comprised of 27 practically healthy children, 51 patients with acute bronchitis, 15 with chronic bronchitis and 11 with pneumonia. It was shown that changes of microbiocoenosis in back of the throat (BOT) were related to increased mucosal contamination with normal microflora and opportunistic microorganisms. The highest degree of contamination was observed in children with acute bronchitis. Normocoenosis was detected only in 13 practically healthy children. The disorders of microbiocoenosis took the form of disbiosis and acute inflammatory processes in patients with acute and chronic bronchitis and pneumonia...

The authors present results of investigation of the state of microbiocenosis of the intestine and immune status of organism of 139 patients after emergency operations on the gastro-intestinal tract organs. Disbiosis and reduced indices of the immune system in the postoperative period was a cause of using biocenosis sparing treatment resulting in stabilization of microecology of the gastro-intestinal tract, higher colonization resistance and general reactivity of organism.

Current microbiological data on the vaginal microecology in healthy women and in patients with bacterial vaginosis are presented in the article. Problems of formation of colonization resistance of vaginal microbiocenosis were discussed. Etiologic role of certain microorganisms and their associations in the pathogenesis of bacterial vaginosis was considered. Pathophysiological processes leading to development of vaginal disbiosis, features of local immune status and molecular specificity of intercellular interactions in the development of adaptive immune response were characterized...

The modifying effect of Bacillus cereus on intestinal microbiocenosis was investigated in eubiotic and disbiotic female rats. Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of gut and mucosal microflora from different parts of rats' intestine were studied before and after intragastral application of B. cereus suspension. The single application of B. cereus suspension resulted in appearance of this bacterium in feces and in parietal mucin from all parts of the intestine. In eubiotic rats compared with disbiotic, B...

Frequently ill children (FIC) show persistence of infection in the nasopharynx, disbiosis of intestinal flora, and concomitant and allergic diseases. As per our results, FIC with acute respiratory diseases (ARD) frequency of 6-15 times a year plus chronic infection foci at the age of 2-15 y/o at the remission period have heterogeneous nature of immune system disorders. It depends on the age, frequency of ARD, and chronic infection foci. About 20-50% of children have low number of T cells and 70% of children have high number of activated T cells...

Spectrum of microorganisms vegetated in the large bowel of patients with allergic diseases was investigated. The index of constancy C was used for characterization of the microbial population. 80 patients (31 adults and 49 children < 14 years) were examined. Most prominent changes in obligatory and facultative parts of microflora were revealed in children. Serological typing of 108 cultures of enterobacteria isolated in children under examination with disbiosis showed variety of serogroups that can testify to the presence of pathogenic variants...

Comparative study of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of parietal mucin microbiocenosis in rats with alimentary induced disbiosis was performed. It has been shown that disbiosis was associated with changes in parietal microflora which were observed mainly in colon mucosa. Disbiosis in parietal area, in contrast to central area manifested by changes in quantitative characteristics of microbiocenosis. Results of the study allowed to suppose that parietal mucosal microbiocenosis was more stable than gut one and that this stability was determined by endogenous homeostatic factors of the host...
