Ventricular tachycardia has a significant recurrence rate after ablation for several reasons, including inaccessible substrate. A non-invasive technique to ablate any defined areas of myocardium involved in arrhythmogenesis would be a potentially important therapeutic improvement if shown to be safe and effective.
