Present article is devoted to the study of the clinic features of ischemic heart desease associated with acid peptic disease. It was shown the more evident increase of myocardial infarction risk in associated pathology patients. Such results have to be caused by the special risk factor. As such factor we desided to study the hyperhomosysteinemia. During research there were discovered that the lowest vitamin B12 serum level and the highest homocysteine serum level have been registrated in associated pathology (ischemic heart disease and acid peptic disease according to long-term proton pump inhibitor use) patients...

Data of 363 patients operated on for perforated gastric or duodenal ulcers were analyzed. Immediate and follow-up results were obtained after simple suture plication, Jadd's ulcer excision combined with stem vagotomy and after distal gastric resection. Predictors of the unfavourable outcome were determined. These are: Mannheim peritonitis index >20, surgical risk of IV-V grade, signs of multiple organ failure and symptomatic character of the ulcer. The comparison of long-term results revealed that patients after suture plication experienced the ulcer recurrence in 78,4% and necessity of further operation occurred in 21,5%...

The effect of a rational diet and of antiulcerous diets containing a proteinic-mineral enrichment (in an amount of 20--30 g) on the clinical symptomatology, the peripheral blood picture and some biochemical blood serum characteristics in patients with atrophic gastritis and duodenal ulcer was studied. In cases of atrophic gastritis with hypoferremia the proteinic enrichment was incorporated in the diet (rational) in an amount of 80--90 g per day. Control observations were conducted over analogous groups of patients receiving the same diets, but without proteinic enrichment...
