Al-Majiri is an itinerant or traditional Islamic educational system commonly known in the Northern part of Nigeria for cultivating spirituality and inculcating morality prior to colonialism. The prevalent street begging by the Al-Majiri children has not contributed to sustainable economic development because of lack of vocational training and entrepreneurships which remains a big gap to fill in the existing body of knowledge. The primary objective of this article therefore, is to investigate vocational training and entrepreneurship skills towards improving Al-Majiri system for attaining national progress and sustainable economic development in the country...

OBJECTIVE: To determine the pathologic substrates in patients with rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) with or without a coexisting neurologic disorder. METHODS: The clinical and neuropathologic findings were analyzed on all autopsied cases from one of the collaborating sites in North America and Europe, were evaluated from January 1990 to March 2012, and were diagnosed with polysomnogram (PSG)-proven or probable RBD with or without a coexisting neurologic disorder...

The 2-nitrobenzoic acid degradation pathway of Pseudomonas fluorescens strain KU-7 proceeds via a novel 3-hydroxyanthranilate intermediate. In this study, we cloned and sequenced a 19-kb DNA locus of strain KU-7 that encompasses the 3-hydroxyanthranilate meta-cleavage pathway genes. The gene cluster, designated nbaEXHJIGFCDR, is organized tightly and in the same direction. The nbaC and nbaD gene products were found to be novel homologs of the eukaryotic 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase and 2-amino-3-carboxymuconate-6-semialdehyde decarboxylase, respectively...
