INTRODUCTION: Dolutegravir-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the preferred antiretroviral treatment for children and adolescents living with HIV. A large surveillance study in Botswana previously raised concerns about an association between pre-conception dolutegravir and neural tube defects.
