240 patients with acute and 233 children with chronic nasal and paranasal sinus disease aged under 14 years have undergone endoscopic examination. It was found that the number of serious developmental defects hindering drainage of the paranasal sinusis was higher in children with rhinogenic orbital complications than in those with acute sinusitis.
