Our study focused on the optical behavior, methylene blue (MB) dye degradation potential, antibacterial performance, and silver and trioxide mineral interaction with different bacterial species. We found that the addition of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) to neodymium oxide (Nd2 O3 ) resulted in a significant response, with an enlargement of the inhibition zone for bacterial species such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Specifically, the inhibition zone for S. aureus increased from 9.3 ± 0...

In the present study, green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (VNE-AgNPs) via Verbascum nudatum extract was carried out for the first time. The synthesized AgNPs were characterized by different spectral methods such as UV-vis, FTIR, XRD, TEM, and EDAX. According to TEM analyses, the average size range of AgNPs was 17-21 nm, and the dominant peaks in the 111°, 200°, 221°, and 311° planes in the XRD pattern indicated the Ag-NPs FCC crystal structure. FTIR data showed that VNE-AgNPs interacted with many reducing, capping, and stabilizing phytochemicals during green synthesis...

The ternary photocatalyst ((Al2 Si2 O5 (OH)4 /TiO2 /Al2 O3 ) composites (where w/w = 65, 30, and 5 wt%) denoted K65 T30 A5 were successfully synthesized and examined for their efficiency in removing cationic (Methylene Blue, MB) and anionic (Remazol Red, RR) dye from aqueous medium under visible-light irradiation. A series of nanocomposites with varied wt% of kaolinite, TiO2 , and Al2 O3 were prepared through sonication followed by calcination at 600 °C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the crystallinity of the synthesized materials and established their average crystal size to be 83...

A combination of multiple materials effectively improves and enhances the performance of the materials. Thus, a gold-silver@cuprous oxide (Au-Ag@Cu2 O)-reduced graphene oxide (rGO) structure was designed and fabricated. We decorated the Au nanoparticles (NPs) on the Ag@Cu2 O-rGO composite surface by a redox reaction to form a Au-Ag@Cu2 O-rGO structure with two noble metals attached to a Cu2 O semiconductor. A comparable Au-Ag@Cu2 O structure was also fabricated. After decorating Au NPs into the Ag@Cu2 O-rGO composite, the Au-Ag@Cu2 O composite structure was loosened, and the surface and interior of the Cu2 O shell were decorated with Au and Ag NPs...

This article presents a one-step ultrasonication technique for generating biomass carbon dots (BCDs) from neem bark (Azadirachta indica) powder. The BCDs were characterized using modern techniques such as UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman, XRD, HRTEM, FESEM, EDAX, and Zeta potential analyses. Unlike traditional nanocomposite bed systems, this study utilized BCDs as a liquid-phase adsorbent for the regenerative adsorption of the environmentally harmful dye, methylene blue (MB), through an in-situ precipitation reaction. This involved the formation of BCDs-MB adduct via an electrostatic mechanism...

This research investigates the adsorption potential of chrysotile and lizardite, two minerals derived from chromite ore wastes, for the uptake of Methylene Blue (MB) dye from waste streams. The characterization of these minerals involves XRD, XRF, FTIR, and SEM. Results confirm the dominance of polymorphic magnesium silicate minerals, specifically chrysotile and lizardite, in the samples. The FTIR spectra reveal characteristic vibration bands confirming the presence of these minerals. The SEM analysis depicts irregular surfaces with broken and bent edges, suggesting favorable morphologies for adsorption...

The importance of microbiological examination for the diagnosis and treatment of such patients remains debatable among surgeons, resulting in scarce data being available in the literature. We aimed to identify the aerobic microbiological spectrum and antibiotic resistance of isolates in children undergoing operation to treat anorectal abscesses. The films on glass substrates were tested for CO sensing and photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue. X-ray diffraction data analysis showed that all the TiO2 :Nb(V) films were nanocrystalline in the anatase phase, with a uniform and compact microstructure and a homogeneous superficial structure of small grains with diameters in the range of 13-19 nm. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in the green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles, mostly because of the evident limitations associated with chemical and physical methods. Green synthesis, commonly referred to as "biogenic synthesis," is seen as an alternative approach to produce AgNPs (silver nanoparticles). The current work focuses on the use of Asterarcys sp. The optimal parameters for the reduction of AgNPs were determined as molarity of 3 mM for AgNO3 and an incubation duration of 24 h at pH 9, using a 20:80 ratio of algal extract to AgNO3 ...
