INTRODUCTION: Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most frequent endocrine disturbance in the reproductive period of women's life and the most frequent cause of anovulatory infertility. Psychotropic drugs affect the regulatory mechanisms of different neuroendocrine axis. This chapter reviews the interactions between psychotropic drugs and prolactin, the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.
