Archive documents and sources in scientific electronic databases were analyzed in order to study the historical origins of the health resort business in terms of children's health resort medicine in the Samara government. It has been established that the period of origin and intensive development of balneology for children in the Samara region occurred at the beginning of the 20th century and the first children's sanatoriums began to function thanks to the initiative of the Society of Governmental Physicians for charitable funds of the Samara nobility and merchantry in territories with natural and climatic therapeutic factors, namely Sernovodsky resort, Barboshina glade and Postnikov ravine...

A protocol study was designed to examine cutaneous behavior after continuous application of a peloid in the dry mineral residue of Lanjarón-Capuchina natural mineral water. This study aims to analyze the biomechanical behavior of normal skin using various non-invasive bioengineering techniques after the application of this peloid. We determine the effects of its application for 3 months on 38 healthy volunteers (41.4 ± 5.9 years, range 32-58) without a previous history of skin diseases by courtmetry, sebumetry, pH-metry, reviscometry, and tewametry...

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically affected spa and balneology not only in the Czech Republic. Generally, almost two years without spa patients and clients led to a dramatic outflow of labor. The article main purpose is to analyze pandemic impact on the structure of spa patients and clients, to identify main current spa problems to be overcome, and to summarize possible future trends in modern spa and balneology for current and future spa clients. Spa will remain an important medical solution for treatment of some diagnoses using healing mineral-medical waters and natural sources, but they must innovate their services and treating programs to answer current questions and clients 'demands...

UNLABELLED: Currently methods development for restoring physiological functions and increasing the adaptive capabilities of the body after prolonged stress exposure of various genesis is an urgent problem in the field of balneology and physiotherapy. It is known that the adaptive potential of the organism is not the same in different seasons of the year. In this regard, it becomes necessary to take into account the seasonality factor when carrying out recreational activities. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY: To perform a comparative study of balneotherapeutic procedures effectiveness in the form of water and antler baths in relation to the restoration of the psychophysiological parameters of laboratory rats after a consistent stressful effect of light desynchronosis and physical activity to a state of complete fatigue during autumn and spring equinoxes...

The Tibetan Plateau (TP) is known as the water tower of Asia, and the water quality has long been a focus of public concern, especially in the Yarlung Tsangpo River Basin (YTRB), a unique area that is climate-sensitive, geologically complex, eco-fragile, and densely populated. Thallium (Tl) is a typical metal that is more toxic than Pb, Cd, and As and often occurs in sulfide minerals. Although large-scale polymetallic sulfide mineralization developed in the YTRB, the geochemical dispersion and potential risk of Tl in aquatic environments of the YTRB remain poorly understood...

The Caucasian mineral water (CMW) region is a unique area where mineral waters differ by their chemical composition and balneological properties. The presence of a wide range of mineral waters with various ions and gas components and different genesis and their therapeutic properties in the restricted area is explained by complicated geological and tectonic settings. The dominant type of mineral water in the CMW region is CO2 -bearing water with H2 SiO3 and H3 BO3 as the specific components. According to ion composition, gas phases' content into groundwater, total dissolved solids, and balneological characteristics, we would distinguish 9 groups and 16 types of these mineral waters, with each water type being of particular therapeutic interest...
