The purpose of this study was to purify the phytoconstituents and to explore the antibacterial, antifungal, phytotoxic and cytotoxic potential of dichloromethane and methanol extracts of aerial and root parts of Trigonella polycerata. The phytochemical study on methanol extract of aerial parts of the plant led to the isolation and purification of seven compounds that were identified as 3,4-dimethoxycinnamaldehyde, Trigocoumarin, 6,7,8-trimethoxycoumarin, Penduletin, 5-hydroxy-3,6,7,4ยด-tetramethoxyflavone, 3,5,7-trihydroxy-6,4-dimethoxyflavone and 5-hydroxy-4,7-dimethoxyflavone...

INTRODUCTION: Regular tumour-specific peer review meetings (TPRMs) were established by our group during 2016. A dedicated Quality Assurance Radiation Therapist (QART) was employed in 2018 to co-ordinate the meetings and for each patient, complete the Peer Review Audit Tool (PRAT) of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). The aim of the current quality assurance study was to investigate the impact of the TPRMs and appointment of the QART on compliance to relevant RANZCR Radiation Oncology Practice Standards (ROPS)...

Medical imaging studies have collected high dimensional imaging data to identify imaging biomarkers for diagnosis, screening, and prognosis, among many others. These imaging data are often represented in the form of a multi-dimensional array, called a tensor. The aim of this paper is to develop a tensor partition regression modeling (TPRM) framework to establish a relationship between low-dimensional clinical outcomes (e.g., diagnosis) and high dimensional tensor covariates. Our TPRM is a hierarchical model and efficiently integrates four components: (i) a partition model, (ii) a canonical polyadic decomposition model, (iii) a principal components model, and (iv) a generalized linear model with a sparse inducing normal mixture prior...

PCBs are typical of persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic compounds (PBTs) that are widely distributed in the environment and can biomagnify through aquatic food webs, because of their stability and lipophilic properties. Fish-eating birds are top predators in the aquatic food chain and may suffer adverse effects from exposure to PCB concentrations. In this review, we address the toxicity of PCBs to birds and have derived tissue residue guidelines (TRGs) and toxic reference values (TRVs) for PCBs for protecting birds in China...

Testosterone-repressed prostate message-2 (TRPM-2) was originally isolated and cloned from the regressing ventral prostate of the rat. In this tissue, and in other hormone-dependent tissues such as the mammary gland, this gene is induced in the absence of the appropriate trophic hormone. Sequence analysis of the cDNA and genomic clones of TRPM-2 have demonstrated that the coding sequence of this gene is identical to S35-S45 (also known as SGP-2 and clusterin), which is constitutively expressed by the Sertoli cells of the adult testis...
