PURPOSE: Our purpose was to determine if height, weight, and gender can be used to accurately predict proper meniscal allograft dimensions. METHODS: Data were obtained from the Joint Restoration Foundation (AlloSource, Centennial, CO) regarding meniscal size and patient characteristics from meniscal donors. Donor height, weight, sex, age, and anatomic meniscal dimensions were recorded for 930 donor menisci in 664 patients. Multivariate regressions were completed using gender, height, and weight as independent variables and lateral meniscus length, lateral meniscus width, medial meniscus length, and medial meniscus width as dependent variables...

This paper describes the validation of an allograft sterilization method specifically designed for the processing methods used at AlloSource in Centennial, CO. The methods used for this validation followed ISO Standard 11137, Method 2B. Three hundred allografts, collected from three defined production batches were dosed using a series of five incremental doses, beginning at 1 kGy and increasing by 1 kGy until 5 kGy was achieved. Following sterilization dosing, each allograft test article was analyzed using a sterility test to identify any viable microorganisms...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: A combination product of bioassayed, demineralized bone matrix (AlloGro, AlloSource, Denver CO) and calcium sulfate pellets (OsteoSet, Wright Medical Technology, Arlington TN) was utilized in a prospective clinical study in 50 patients in need of bone-grafting procedures. It was proposed that the osteoinductive activity of the demineralized bone matrix combined with the osteoconduction and rapid dissolution of the calcium sulfate pellets would complement each other in promoting bone formation...
