A 24-year-old man with a history of type 1 diabetes mellitus, an ischemic left middle cerebral artery stroke and atrial flutter with a prior ablation was found to have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) on an implantable loop recorder. Ischemic stroke is the most common complication of atrial fibrillation (AF).
