In this study, an unusual case of a patient who was previously operated on a ruptured breast implant following silicone granuloma associated with pectoral muscle involvement is reported. A 72-year-old woman had undergone breast augmentation surgery when she was 52-year-old and silicone implant rupture 10 years later. After 10 years of ruptured silicone implant, her mammography showed diffuse, multiple high-density nodules in the left breast. The pectoral muscle was significantly hypertrophic. The magnetic resonance imaging showed that the pectoral muscle was quite hypertrophic and had heterogeneous enhancement...

BACKGROUND: When keratinized tissue width around dental implants is poorly represented, the clinician could resort to autogenous soft tissue grafting. Autogenous soft tissue grafting procedures are usually associated with a certain degree of morbidity. Collagen matrices could be used as an alternative to reduce morbidity and intra-operatory times. The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of a xenogeneic collagen matrix as a substitute for soft tissue grafting around dental implants...

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), also called liquid silicone, belongs to a group of polymeric compounds that are commonly referred to as silicones. These filling agents have been used as injectable filler for soft tissue augmentation. There are limited experiences about management of the severe complications related to filler migration associated with PDMS injection. We present a 35-year-old female with severe erythema, edema over her cheeks and neck, and multiple irregularities following cosmetic lip augmentation with PDMS...

INTRODUCTION: As well as the chin is an important esthetic unit of the facial structure, it is also the region having a key role in the appearance of the face. Correction of cosmetic and functional deformities that may occur in this region because of serious hypoplasia (microgenia) is performed by chin augmentation. Chin augmentation is most frequently performed via implant or osseous genioplasty in the literature. Both 2 techniques have their own advantages and disadvantages. In the literature, various studies comparing these 2 techniques and their long-term results are present, but in some severe microgenia cases, these techniques can be insufficient only for augmentation...
