This is a case study of the replantation of an avulsed tooth (No. 9) on a 21-year-old female patient. The avulsed tooth was the result of physical trauma. The tooth was completely dislocated, yet still retained in the mouth by palatal tissue. When the patient presented at her local university hospital, the only treatment performed was a computed tomography scan. The patient was advised to see a dentist as soon as possible. Subsequently, the patient was seen by the author in his office approximately 14 hours after the initial trauma...

Dissociative attunement is a profound rhythmic encounter in therapeutic treatment. Attunement is a synchronized awareness of implicit knowing that is nonlinear and bidirectional. Empathically attuned clinicians are like microtonal tuning forks. They resonate with a variety of emotional pitches and will resonate with nuanced shifting of emotional tone. This resonance is the basis of dissociative attunement. Concepts such as empathic attunement, affect attunement, "the unthought known," "implicit relational knowing," and "a two-person unconscious" help us to understand unique aspects of projective identification, transference, and countertransference within the dissociative frame...

The objective of this research was to determine the concentrations and distribution of the atypical antipsychotic drug, quetiapine, in postmortem tissues from eight Medical Examiner cases. Quetiapine was isolated from liquid specimens and tissue homogenates by extraction at an alkaline pH into 1-chlorobutane. The 1-chlorobutane was decanted, and quetiapine, plus the internal standard (prochlorperazine), was back-extracted into 0.1N sulfuric acid. The acid layer was made basic, and quetiapine, plus the internal standard, was re-extracted into 1-chlorobutane...
