OBJECTIVE: Our goal was to analyze the safety and efficacy of the use of oxidized cellulose in the creation of neovagina. METHODS: A total of 10 women with vaginal agenesis attending gynaecology clinic of AIIMS between July 2003 to March 2005 underwent vaginal reconstructive surgery using oxidized cellulose were recruited in this retrospective study. The age of patients ranged from 17 to 22 years (mean age 19 years).
