RIASSUNTO. Scopo. La maggior parte della ricerca storiografica sulla psichiatria agli inizi del ventesimo secolo prende principalmente in considerazione l'istituzione manicomiale. Per indagare le caratteristiche di internamento in una popolazione clinica, abbiamo analizzato i registri clinici, recentemente resi disponibili, della Clinica di Malattie Nervose e Mentali dell'Università di Pisa, prendendo in considerazione tutte le ammissioni dal 24 aprile 1907 al 31 gennaio 1913. Sono stati raccolti dati demografici e clinici di 1068 pazienti, effettuando test del Chi Quadrato per elicitare la correlazione fra trasferimento manicomiale e differenza di genere; inoltre sono stati effettuati T-Test per confrontare la media di età, la media di giorni di ospedalizzazione e la media di ricoveri successivi nei pazienti trasferiti in manicomio e in quelli licenziati...

The aim of this study is to compare discontinuation risk and health care resource utilization between vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) and non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) in newly treated patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). Based on administrative databases of five Italian Local Healthcare Units, all patients with a discharge diagnosis of NVAF between 2011 and 2014 were selected. Calcium binding protein calbindin-D28K (CaBP28K) mediates the relationship between vitamin D and calcium, but its mechanism remains unclear during bone formation. The present study reports that maternal CaBP28K levels were positively correlated with paired umbilical cord CaBP28K levels. In addition, CaBP28K levels were positively correlated with the body length, and head and chest circumferences of neonates, but negatively correlated with maternal 25(OH)D3 levels. In this study, we aimed to research the effects of class-I HDACs and glucose on differentiation of pancreatic islet derived mesenchymal stem cells (PI-MSCs) to beta cells. Beta cell differentiation determined by flow cytometric analysis and gene expression levels of PDX1, PAX4, PAX6, NKX6.1, NGN3, INS2, and GLUT2. Propofol (2,6-diisopropylphenol) is probably the most widely used intravenous anesthetic agent in daily practice. It has been reported to show immunomodulatory activity.
