The spin coating method was used to deposit MAPbI2 Br films on FTO-glass substrates. Zn2+ (zinc) doping was used for these films at intensity rates of 2% and 4%, respectively. XRD analysis proved that MAPbI2 Br films had a cubic structure and a crystalline character. 2% Zn doping into the MAPbI2 Br film had a modest large grain size (38.09 nm), E g (1.95 eV), high refractive index (2.66), and low extinction coefficient (1.67), according to XRD and UV-vis analyses. To facilitate and enhance carrier transit, at contacts as well as throughout the bulk material, the perovskite's trap-state densities decreased...

RNA methylation can epigenetically regulate learning and memory. However, it is unclear whether RNA methylation plays a critical role in the pathophysiology of Vascular dementia (VD). Here, we report that expression of the fat mass and obesity associated gene (FTO), an RNA demethylase, is downregulated in the hippocampus in models of VD. Through prediction and dual-luciferase reporters validation studies, we observed that miRNA-711 was upregulated after VD and could bind to the 3'-untranslated region of FTO mRNA and regulate its expression in vitro...

BACKGROUND: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory disease whose pathogenesis and mechanisms have not been fully described. The m6A methylation modification is a general mRNA modification in mammalian cells and is closely associated with the onset and progression of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Palmatine (PAL) is a biologically active alkaloid with anti-inflammatory and protective effects in animal models of colitis. Accordingly, we examined the role of PAL on colitis by regulating N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation...

BACKGROUND: Through experimental research on the biological function of GATA6-AS1, it was confirmed that GATA6-AS1 can inhibit the proliferation, invasion, and migration of gastric cancer cells, suggesting that GATA6-AS1 plays a role as an anti-oncogene in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. Further experiments confirmed that the overexpression of fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) inhibited the expression of GATA6-AS1, thereby promoting the occurrence and development of gastric cancer...

N 6 -Methyladenosine (m6 A) is the most prevalent mRNA modification and is required for gene regulation in eukaryotes. ALKBH5, an m6 A demethylase, is a promising target, particularly for anticancer drug discovery. However, the development of selective and potent inhibitors of ALKBH5 rather than FTO remains challenging. Herein, we used a targeted covalent inhibition strategy and identified a covalent inhibitor, TD19, which selectively inhibits ALKBH5 compared with FTO demethylase in protein-based and tumor cell-based assays...

Ultraviolet photodetectors (UV PDs) have attracted significant attention due to their wide range of applications, such as underwater communication, biological analysis, and early fire warning systems. Indium oxide (In2 O3 ) is a candidate for developing high-performance photoelectrochemical (PEC)-type UV PDs owing to its high UV absorption and good stability. However, the self-powered photoresponse of the previously reported In2 O3 -based PEC UV PDs is unsatisfactory. In this work, high-performance self-powered PEC UV PDs were constructed by using an In2 O3 nanocube film (NCF) as a photoanode...

Gastric cancer (GC) is a common malignant tumor worldwide, especially in East Asia, with high incidence and mortality rate. Epigenetic modifications have been reported to participate in the progression of gastric cancer, among which m6 A is the most abundant and important chemical modification in RNAs. Fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) is the first identified RNA demethylase but little is known about its role in gastric cancer. In our study, data from TCGA and clinical samples showed that FTO was highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues...

Electrochromic smart windows have attracted great attention due to their dynamic regulation of the solar spectrum. NiO and MnO2 are typical anodic coloration materials and widely investigated as complementary electrodes with WO3 . However, NiO and MnO2 films often cannot be bleached to complete transparency, resulting in low transmittances and low optical modulations in the short-wavelength visible region. Herein, we report a porous nickel manganese layered double hydroxide (NiMn-LDH) nanosheet film directly grown on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass using a one-step hydrothermal method, which demonstrates a high transmittance of 80...

N6-methyladenosine (m6 A) RNA modification is a new epigenetic molecular mechanism involved in various biological or pathological processes. Exposure to aluminum (Al) has been considered to promote neuronal apoptosis resulting in cognitive dysfunction, yet whether m6 A modification participates in the underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. Here, rats exposed to aluminum-maltolate [Al(mal)3 ] for 90 days showed impaired learning and memory function and elevated apoptosis, which were related to the increased m6 A level and decreased fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO, an m6 A demethylase) in the hippocampus...

We have successfully produced relatively uniform nanorod arrays on an 8 × 10 cm2 i-ZnO-coated fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrate using a compact counter electrode and a vertical stirring setup...

RNA methylation modifications are widespread in eukaryotes and prokaryotes, with N6 -methyladenosine (m6 A) the most common among them. Demethylases, including Fat mass and obesity associated gene (FTO) and AlkB homolog 5 (ALKBH5), are important in maintaining the balance between RNA methylation and demethylation. Recent studies have clearly shown that demethylases affect the biological functions of tumors by regulating their m6 A levels. However, their effects are complicated, and even opposite results have appeared in different articles...

Inherently disordered structures of carbon nitrides have hindered an atomic level tunability and understanding of their catalytic reactivity. Starting from a crystalline carbon nitride, poly(triazine imide) or PTI/LiCl, the coordination of copper cations to its intralayer N -triazine groups was investigated using molten salt reactions. The reaction of PTI/LiCl within CuCl or eutectic KCl/CuCl2 molten salt mixtures at 280 to 450 °C could be used to yield three partially disordered and ordered structures, wherein the Cu cations are found to coordinate within the intralayer cavities...
