The polypill strategy, which combines several medicines that simultaneously control different risk factors/diseases in a single pill, is one of the approaches used in cardiovascular therapy. In different guidelines, this one-pill combination therapy is suggested as first-line step in disease management. Because the cardiovascular diseases (CVD) pandemia, prevention is essential. The approaches that could improve adherence are of great importance to achieve health, social and economical benefits. However, direct or indirect experience of adverse drug reaction is often the reason for discontinuation, with serious fatal and non-fatal consequences especially for a polypill...

Subsequent to mass vaccination programs against COVID-19, diverse side effects have been described, both at the injection site, such as pain, redness and swelling, and systemic effects such as fatigue, headache, muscle or joint pain. On rare occasions, a lymphadenopathic syndrome may develop, raising the clinical suspicion of a lymphoproliferative disorder. We present the case of a 30-year-old woman who developed self-limiting left axillary lymphadenopathy following COVID-19 vaccination. To date, only seven similar cases with a complete clinicopathological description have been published, and fourteen cases have been notified to the European adverse events databases (Eudravigilance) in relationship with vaccination against COVID-19...

The occurrence of mucormycosis has been observed in individuals with COVID-19. However, there is limited information on the epidemiological factors, presentation, diagnostic certainty, and outcome of this infection in children. PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, LitCovid, and back-references of the identified manuscripts were systematically searched from December 2019 to March 2023. We have identified 14 cases of pediatric mucormycosis in patients with COVID-19. The median age of patients was 10...
