PURPOSE: SIR proteins (silent information regulators, sirtuins, SIRT1 - SIRT7, SIR1 - SIR7) belong to NAD+-dependent deacetylases, enzymes taking part in a catalytic reaction of deacetylation, i.e. splitting the rest of acetic acid from protein substrates. OBJECTIVE: To analyse the survival rate of a cohort of patients with intracranial metastases treated with radiosurgery, and to determine the factors that influence the results. PATIENTS AND METHOD: Retrospective analysis performed on a cohort of 126 patients undergoing radiosurgery for brain metastases.
