BACKGROUND: IL-15 plays a vital role in enhancing NK cell- and T-cell-mediated antitumor immune responses; however, the direct effect of IL-15 on tumor cells has not been fully elucidated. Herein, we investigated the effect of IL-15 on lung adenocarcinoma cells. METHODS: Silencing and overexpression techniques were used to modify endogenous IL-15 expression in tumor cells.
