R Kupperman
A type of tympanoplasty is described to restore hearig at patients who had a radical mastoidectomy. The technique of middle ear reconstruction was first studied at the testanimal. It was found that a certain resonance frequency could be of use to get an extra hearing gain. Furtheron amplitude and fase-difference between the round and oval window are explored. The results of 16 patients 5 years after operation are discussed.
