The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between resonance frequency analysis (RFA) values and the histomorphometric bone-implant contact (BIC) immediately after insertion of the implant. Three novel series of 6,8-dibromo-4(3H)quinazolinone derivatives were synthesized. Some of the novel quinazolinone derivatives were tested for their antitumor activity against the human breast carcinoma cell line MCF-7. Compounds XIIIb, IX, XIVd, XIVb, XIVe, XIIIa, XIVc, XVc, and XIVa exerted powerful cytotoxic effects against the MCF7 cells, with very low IC50 values compared to doxorubicin (positive control).
