The present retrospective investigation aimed to determine the factors associated with recurrence of hallux valgus deformity after scarf osteotomy in 50 feet in 43 consecutive patients. We hypothesized that hallux abductovalgus after scarf osteotomy recurs because of the presence of preoperative joint incongruity.
