The 2016 Warwick Agreement on femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome was convened to build an international, multidisciplinary consensus on the diagnosis and management of patients with FAI syndrome. 22 panel members and 1 patient from 9 countries and 5 different specialties participated in a 1-day consensus meeting on 29 June 2016. The SAV3339 (SdrA) protein of Streptomyces avermitilis, a member of the DeoR family of regulators, was assessed to determine its in vivo function by gene knockdown through the use of cis-encoded noncoding RNA and knockout of the sdrA gene. These analyses revealed that SdrA represents another class of Streptomyces regulator that controls morphological development and antibiotic production.

Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and 2,4-dichlorophenoxybutyric acid (2,4-DB) are metabolised by peroxisomal beta-oxidation to active auxins that inhibit root growth. We screened Arabidopsis mutants for resistance to IBA and 2,4-DB and identified two new 2,4-DB resistant mutants. We report a case of severe leptospirosis complicated with a multiple organ failure syndrome. A 62-year-old patient presented a picture associating fever, asthenia and myalgias, particularly intense on the calves. The assessment showed acute renal failure, hyperbilirubinemia, severe rhabdomyolysis and thrombocytopenia. The regions of initiation of replication of some bacterial genomes were studied by the method of Fourier matrix analysis. A generalized spectral portrait of the primary structures of E. coli-like regions of initiation of replication in bacteria was obtained, which reflects the features of their structural and functional organization.
