As an attempt to control bacterial cross-contamination of beef carcasses, in the present investigation acetic acid and lactic acid (3% v/v) were used for bacterial decontamination. Intussusception may be difficult to diagnose because the classical triad of symptoms is evident at the time of presentation in only about 20% of cases. The detection of coffee adulteration with soybean and corn by capillary electrophoresis-tandem mass spectrometry was accomplished by evaluating the monosaccharides profile obtained after acid hydrolysis of the samples. The acid hydrolysis, using H2SO4 as a catalyst, increases the ionic strength of the sample impairing the electrophoretic separation. In this paper, the effects of temperature and CO2 content on CO2 reduction (utilization) efficiency and physicochemical properties of pyrolysis/gasification biochar briquettes were investigated.
