Aim: Proof-of-concept study, highlighting the clinical diagnostic ability of FT-IR compared with MALDI-TOF MS, combined with WGS. Materials & methods: 104 pathogenic isolates of Neisseria meningitidis , Streptococcus pneumoniae , Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus were analyzed.
